Timberwolves reveal gorgeous new uniforms paying homage to originals

Their main home and away uniforms pay homage to the originals from 1989 when they joined the NBA, led by head designer Brian Mulligan, and logo creator Mark Thompson, which ran through the 1995-1996 season.

They’ve teased the return of these uniforms during the 2023-2024 and 2009-2010 seasons when they used them for their Hardwood Classics during those respective seasons, but it’s the official return of where it all started.

Minnesota also revealed black alternates that pay homage to their widely famous tree-trim designs that came about in 1996, also overseen by Mulligan, and ran through the late 2000s into 2008, putting an end to one of the most beloved uniforms in basketball history.

Much like the classics, the Wolves also brought back the original black alternates in both the 2018-2019 season and this current one as well.

Now, it’s the official alternate once again, but with an updated design.

Not only did the Timbewolves reveal new uniforms that have undergone a blizzard of compliments and cheers, but they also revealed two new court designs tailored to both the main uniforms and the alternates.

Their main court will don the updated logo as well.
