Here is a quick guide to the Last 8 clashes that will be played on the weekend of November 6-8.
Orlando Pirates vs Sekhukhune United
The defending champions come up against a side they have already faced three times this season and beaten on each occasion.
Pirates won 1-0 and 3-0 in the MTN8 semi-finals and, in between those matches, claimed a 2-0 victory in the Betway Premiership, all in the space of a week.
Before that, they had been winless in three meetings against Sekhukhune, which included a pair of 1-0 home losses in the league.
Overall, the teams have met on 15 occasions, with nine wins for Pirates, four for Sekhukhune and two draws.
Pirates also beat the Limpopo side 5-0 in the 2023 MTN8, just a few months after they had defeated Sekhukhune 2-1 in the Nedbank Cup decider.
So, in four previous cup games, they have won all of them, scored 11 goals and conceded just one.
Kaizer Chiefs vs Siwelele
Kaizer Chiefs also have a win under their belt against Siwelele this season after a 3-2 home success in the league last month.
But the overall record is one win apiece and a draw since Siwelele took over the status of SuperSport United.
Chiefs are looking to reach the semi-finals of the competition for the first time since 2019 and will fancy their chances at home to Siwelele.
Mfundo Vilakazi and Wandile Duba were on target when the teams last met, along with an own goal from Samukelo Xulu.
Siwelele are still winless on the road in almost a year, since a 2-0 success at Stellenbosch FC in November 2025.
They have played 14 away games since then, with seven draws and seven defeats, though they made it through to this round with a 0-0 stalemate at Polokwane City that ended in victory on penalties.
Mamelodi Sundowns vs Lamontville Golden Arrows
Sundowns and Lamontville Golden Arrows have already clashed three times this season, twice in the MTN8 semi-finals and once in the league.
Abafana Bes’thende stunned their hosts with a 1-0 win in Pretoria in the Top Eight competition, but Sundowns rallied to claim the return leg 3-2 and advance on the away-goals rule.
Just a week later, they met again in Durban in the league and Sundowns won 2-1.
The last six meetings have seen three wins for the Brazilians, two for their opponents and one draw, suggesting there is potential for an upset.
Stellenbosch FC vs AmaZulu
Stellenbosch were 2023 champions of the Carling Knockout, while AmaZulu are looking to end a long trophy drought stretching back some 34 years, since they lifted the previous version of this competition.
Given Usuthu’s excellent form this season, you would say they are in with a real shout.
They won at Stellenbosch on the opening day of the campaign with a 1-0 success and actually have a good away record against the Western Cape side.
In the 19 previous meetings, Stellies edge the head-to-head record 8-7, while in fixtures in the Cape Winelands, they lead 4-3 with three draws.
