Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday that a total agreement had been reached among all parties. The 30-year-old Cyle Larin will join Feyenoord before the transfer window shuts in the Netherlands on September 2nd.
17-time Eredivisie champions Feyenoord have been looking to add a striker to their squad, with Julian Carranza set to join Leicester City on loan. Manager Robin van Persie sought to bolster the front line, where Ayase Ueda and former Benfica striker Casper Tengstedt were the only viable options.
Larin, an 86-time Canada international, joined Real Mallorca in 2023 and has scored 14 goals in 76 games across all competitions for the island club. Before his time in Spain, Larin spent time at Club Brugge and Zulte Waregem on loan from Besiktas, for whom he spent the majority of his career so far. In 108 games for the Eagles, the Canadian scored 39 goals.
Since leaving MLS side Orlando City, Larin has notched just one season with at least 10 league goals (2019/20 season with Besiktas, 19 goals).
