23:26 CET – The first LaLiga match of the weekend has been won by Real Betis, who have beaten Alaves 1-0 at home thanks to an early goal from Giovani Lo Celso.
22:57 CET – Chelsea have their first win of the Premier League season, and they’ve claimed it in style, putting five past a West Ham side that just completely fell apart after taking an early lead.
Going by that display, they’ll be fighting at the wrong end of the table this season, and may not be led by Graham Potter for much more of it.
22:41 CET – PSG have made it two 1-0 wins from two games, with Fabian Ruiz’s second-half goal enough to give them a narrow but very much deserved win at home to Angers.
Their finishing has left something to be desired in the opening matches of their title defence, but wins are wins.
22:30 CET – What a start to the season for Bayern Munich! The German champions have delivered a masterclass in attacking football on the opening evening of the new Bundesliga season, beating RB Leipzig 6-0.
That front four of Olise, Gnabry, Diaz and Kane were truly a joy to watch.
22:25 CET – We’re getting two thrashings tonight, with Chelsea now 5-1 up against West Ham courtesy of goals from Moises Caicedo and Trevoh Chalobah.
22:12 CET – Harry Kane hits a hat-trick! The striker has scored two goals in four minutes to put his side 6-0 up!
21:57 CET – PSG finally have their breakthrough, courtesy of Fabian Ruiz, while Harry Kane has scored his goal of the league season to put Bayern 4-0 up. It’s turning into a good night for reigning champions.
21:36 CET – It’s three! Enzo Fernandez taps in a cross from Estevao to put Chelsea very much in the driving seat.
Things aren’t going so well for PSG, who head into the break level.
21:26 CET – Chelsea take the lead! An utterly breathless opening period at the London Stadium has now thrown up its third goal, with Pedro Neto putting the Blues ahead.
In Munich meanwhile, the half-time whistle has blown, which RB Leipzig will be pleased about. They’ve been blown away.
21:23 CET – Ousmane Dembele has had a golden chance to open his account for the 25/26 Ligue 1 season, but the Ballon d’Or favourite has skied a penalty. It remains goalless in Paris.
21:17 CET – What a start in East London! Joao Pedro has equalised for Chelsea, and Nicolas Fullkrug then thought he’d restored West Ham’s lead again two minutes later, only for it to be ruled out for offside.
21:14 CET – Bayern are unstoppable! Olise has scored his second goal of the night by curling in from inside the box after another lovely assist from Gnabry.
What a start to the season this is for Vincent Kompany’s men.
21:08 CET – Chelsea fall behind! West Ham have taken an early lead through Lucas Paqueta, who has scored an absolute beauty from well outside the box!
21:06 CET – It’s two! And it’s Luis Diaz! The Colombian winger has made the dream start to his Bundesliga career, firing into the top corner after a lovely flick from Serge Gnabry.
Bayern are looking very good.
20:57 CET – Bayern take the lead! Michael Olise has scored their first goal of the league season, blasting an effort into the far corner with his weaker foot after some great build-up play from Josip Stanisic.
Olise was our highest-rated player from Europe’s top leagues in our internal rating system last season, and he’s picked up where he left off!
20:34 CET – The Bundesliga season is underway! We’ll be bringing you regular updates of the action in Munich here, and you can follow every kick of the match here.

19:25 CET – The first lineups of the new Bundesliga are in!
Luis Diaz makes his league debut for Bayern, while new signings Johan Bakayoko and Yan Diomande start out wide for RB Leipzig.
